Grown and Made UK was built out of frustration at how difficult it was to find great UK businesses. The result is an independent editorial map of fantastic businesses we have found. Grown and Made UK is not a shop and we are not an official certification scheme. All we do is publish our honest assessment from the evidence we can find, usually on websites. We will always look to keep the information on this website as up to date as possible and correct ourselves when we are wrong. Crucially, nobody pays us to feature on the website and nobody can buy Gold or Silver tiers.

Grown and Made UK CIC, a community interest company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, company number 17415545, registered office Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds IP28 7DE. Contact: hello@grownandmade.uk. By using the site you accept these terms.
It’s a directory. We’re not a marketplace, so no transactions take place on this website. All we do is point you in the direction of the growers and makers, and you deal with them directly. We have no commercial relationship with the businesses listed, and being listed doesn’t mean a business has agreed to anything, or even knows we exist.
A tier is our editorial assessment, formed in good faith from the evidence publicly available to us at the time, against the published standard. It is not a certification, an audit, a guarantee or a warranty, and it isn’t a statement about quality, ethics, environmental or employment practice. If we cannot find any clear evidence as to the origin of the main material, a business gets Silver until we can — that reflects the state of the evidence, not a judgement about the business.
Of course supply chains do change, and sometimes quietly. A listing that was accurate when we researched it may not be accurate today. If a detail matters to your purchase, please do ask the business.
You have a standing right of reply. If you think a listing, a tier or an evidence note is wrong, please tell us with whatever evidence you have and we’ll review it. If you would like to be removed from the Grown and Made UK website entirely, please do let us know by email and we will do so promptly.
No business can pay to be listed, promoted, re-ordered or upgraded. We carry no advertising and take no commission on anything you buy. We were created to be an independent directory and will remain that way.
We link out to makers, producers and sources. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, their products or their own privacy practices.
The text, research, photography, the standard, the map dataset and the Grown and Made name, seal and G&M monogram belong to Grown and Made UK CIC. Browse, share links and use the map freely for your own non-commercial purposes. Please don’t scrape, bulk-copy or republish the dataset, and don’t use the Grown and Made UK marks — including the Gold and Silver marks — on packaging, listings or marketing without our written permission. Business names and logos belong to those businesses and are shown to identify them.
If you would like to use our research in a piece of journalism, a report or a class, then please do contact us. The answer will very likely be yes, but it does require our permission first.
Do not use the site unlawfully, do not try to break or overload it, and do not submit suggestions you know to be false or malicious about a competitor. Suggestions are checked before anything is published.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t lawfully be limited — and none of it affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Beyond that, the site is provided as it is. We can’t promise it will always be available, complete or free of error, and we’re not liable for loss arising from relying on a listing or from your dealings with a business you found here.
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. They’re governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
